A cute "keep him in the spotlight!" game I whipped up as a sample for TeenyTiny DragonRuby MiniGameJam! You fan play it in browser but I'd recommend downloading it - it runs buttery smooth when you download it.

Kinda makes me feel tired. It takes a surprising amount of focus to keep that guy in the light. I found keeping the light a little towards the center of the screen helped me track him better as he likes to redirect towards the center of the screen.

I suppose a harder level would be to have the map scroll somewhat--like he is in a room that is larger than the screen. I'm not sure how you would best affix the camera.

Great simple concept! This could easily be reskinned to have a variety of different themes.

I think a spaceship one would work. You could also have a version of the game where you keep the runaway in the light for some number of seconds.

Quite an exhilarating 20 seconds! I imagine this to be a fun game to be played around friends.

Love fuzzy criminal catching. :)

Simple idea that was very well done, i wonder if you were to try and add a few other people in the game so we had to try and find not only the person but keep track of him as well.

that's a great suggestion! I'm currently working on a different game for the gamejam but I might extend this (or maybe another participant could?) at some point!

That being said I'd like to keep this version of Spotlight Search as simple as possible so newbies have a simple sample to read through :)
